Southwest Airlines Announces New Nonstop Route from Bozeman to San Diego
Southwest Airlines has announced it will launch seasonal nonstop service to San Diego, California (SAN), beginning March 7, 2026. The flights are scheduled to operate on Saturdays, lining up perfectly with peak spring break travel.

The new route is designed with both locals and visitors in mind. For Montanans, it offers an easy escape to Southern California’s warm beaches, world-famous attractions, and sunny spring weather, all without the hassle of a layover.
At the same time, the service opens the door for San Diego travelers to experience Big Sky Country at its finest, from downhill runs on Montana’s premier ski slopes to unforgettable winter adventures in the Northern Rockies.
Airport officials note that the addition highlights the growing demand for nonstop connections in and out of Bozeman, especially during high-travel seasons.
For Southwest, it marks another strategic step in expanding its Western U.S. network with routes that make vacation travel more convenient and accessible.
