One of the things that I will definitely be doing this summer is driving along the Beartooth Highway.

The Beartooth Highway runs from Red Lodge to the Wyoming state line. You go over Beartooth Pass, which is 10,947 feet above sea level. You also can get a good view of Granite Peak. It's the highest point in Montana at 12,807 feet.

Crews began work clearing the highway on Monday in preparation for the busy summer ahead. Beartooth Pass is expected to be open by Memorial Day weekend.

Please check the road condition report for the most recent road conditions.
