I'm all for people exercising their freedoms. I'm not a motorcycle rider, but I know plenty of people who are. Montana is a great state for motorcycle riders. There are endless opportunities to hit the open road. Sadly, Montana is one of the top states for motorcycle deaths involving alcohol, according to Quote Wizard.

Wearing a helmet may not prevent every motorcycle death, but helmets are around 40% effective in preventing fatalities. In Montana, only passengers under the age of 18 are required to wear a helmet by law. Otherwise, the use of a helmet is optional. I feel that motorcycle riders would be much safer in Montana if helmet use were required by law. According to the Montana Department of Transportation, helmets help prevent motorcycle deaths on Montana roads and highways.
