The Gallatin County Board of Health met today and extended the restaurant closure due to COVID-19 another week and added personal care facilities to the mandated closure list.

Restaurants/bars in Gallatin County must now stay closed until April 17th. Like before, they may still offer take-out and curbside service. As of 9 p.m. tonight, all hair/nail salons, barbershops, tattoo & piercing shops, and tanning salons must close until April 17th.

Local museums are also on the closure list. Gyms and workout facilities were already on the list.

Gallatin City-County Board of Health Chair Becky Franks says of amended emergency rule, “This is not easy. None of this is easy. This is a pandemic that none of us have seen before in our lives. It's something that has come to our doors and as a board we need to be able to manage and try to maintain the health and safety of our public."
