Godfrey Saunders is a household name in Southwest Montana.  The principle of Bozeman High School from 1996 to 2009 will be honored this week at the University of Montana-Western in Dillon - his Alma matter.

According to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle -

Saunders had a 32-year career in public schools, starting as a teacher and coach in Bainville. After teaching four years in Oregon, he joined the Bozeman School District in 1983. He was a biology teacher, counselor and coach until 1991. He worked as assistant principal at Chief Joseph Middle School and Bozeman High, and then as high school principal from 1996 to 2009.
