Happy Holidays from HAVEN

This is the best time of year around our shelter.  HAVEN is happy to organize the adopt-a-family program for families that have utilized our services this year.  Generous community members have adopted 9 families.  After a year of crisis, we are happy that these children will have a spectacular Christmas.  There are presents everywhere!

Erin Phillips stopped by as we decorated the shelter for the holiday.  The tree and decorations certainly help to lift spirits.

This is also the time of year that we are grateful for our donors.  Although we receive a small amount of federal funding, a majority of our funding comes from local donors in our community.  During the season of giving, we are honored that so many supportive community members think of us, even in these hard times.  They keep our doors open so that anyone fleeing domestic violence has a safe place to go.  We're been incredibly busy the last few months so it seems more apparent than ever that our services are critically important.
