It's not every day that you see a Rock and Roll hall of famer, known worldwide for his unique brand of Texas Roadhouse Blues play a cover of a Tupac Shakur song in Wise River, Montana, but there are always a number of unknowns that come when you're on the bill with Tim Montana.  The legendary Billy F. Gibbons of ZZ Top and co-proprietor of the Wise River Club made his presence known in a big way, co-headlining a pair of weekend shows at the World Famous Wise River Club with his partner in business and in music, Tim Montana, raising thousands of dollars for the Beaverhead County K9 unit.

In addition to the off-the-cuff cover of Shakur, Gibbons delighted the capacity crowd with ZZ Top classics, leading his set off with "Sharp Dressed Man" and diving deep into the band's catalog with favorites like "Waiting For the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago" and "La Grange", but not before a blistering set by Tim Montana whose band provided the powerhouse grooves throughout the final set.  Montana's set tore through his top ten "Savage", his number one "Devil You Know" and several tunes from his pre-metal days such as "Hillbilly Rich", "Mostly Stoned" and many more that had the house clapping and singing along.

Ticketholders were treated to a delicious Traegar-smoked prime rib dinner beforehand and were presented with a souvenir lanyard upon entry.  The evening's opening act, Kyle Rife, in addition to his impressive set, will be headlining the Butte-Silver Bow Fair next weekend at the Butte Civic Center.
