Surprise, The Most Dangerous Town In Montana Is Not Billings
"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."
It's an election year and that means plenty of politicians will be talking about crime and how to stop it.
When talking about crime in Montana I would wager most people would tell you that Billings is in fact the most dangerous town in the state.
It makes sense if you think about it. Billings has the largest population of people in the state, with more people that means more crime.
It's seems to have gotten worse in recent years, as I've heard horror stories from long time residents that there are certain places you don't go into at night, especially if you're alone and a woman.
That's why it's so odd that a certain website has come out and said that, in fact, Billings is only the 8th most dangerous town in Montana.

"I can prove anything by statistics except the truth."
The website Only In Your State came out with a list of the 8 most dangerous towns in Montana.
As we mentioned earlier Billings came in ranked as the 8th most dangerous in Montana.
How did they rank the towns? By using statistics from the FBI, which also takes into consideration per capita rankings, so a town like Billings can have a higher number of crimes but statistically be safer.
