I'm old enough to remember when it was weird if you met your significant other online. Nowadays, it seems it's weird if you didn't meet your significant other online.

The days of meeting folks at church, the store, school, or some other public place seem to have been replaced with dating apps and people looking to swipe right. They have dating apps for everyone and everything. Into Farming or Ranching? They have an app for that. Looking for a certain lifestyle or religion?

They have an app for that, too.

So, what about here in Montana? How do we feel about all of this technology in our personal lives? Are we embracing the future, or are we a little more old school when it comes to relationships?

According to the folks over at Vantage Point, some data suggests that Montanans might be a little more "plugged in" than we thought. Research shows that almost 30 percent of us have had an "intimate or romantic relationship" with AI. Listen, I'm not here to judge, but what?

A third of us are doing who knows what with robots? Really?

Oh, and that's not all, the stats also show that over 50 percent of us have had some relationship with AI, whether it was asking for advice or just talking to it like a friend. For those of you who are curious, the number one AI platform we're using in Montana is ChatGPT.

Once again, I'm not here to judge...much.
