UPDATE: Tragic Car Accident Brings Montana Town Together
One of the greatest worries a parent faces is the safety of their children, no matter how old they might be.
On September 15th, the community of Bozeman was rocked when a single-car accident took place involving four local teenagers. The accident took place on Kelly Canyon Road and resulted in three of the teenagers being transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The fourth teenager was pronounced dead on the scene.
It's never easy to lose someone you care for, especially when that person has their whole life ahead of them. However, the folks around the area are coming together to support the families of the victims of the crash,
It's no surprise that Montanans are helping Montanans. It's what we do here. People come together and support each other in times of trouble. Whether that's a tragic accident, an act of nature, or something else.
While social media can be a cesspool of hate, it's nice to see it used for something positive. Several locals have offered home-cooked meals, monetary donations, and whatever else they can to help the families involved.
A fundraiser will be held on Saturday, October 26th to raise money for the four families involved. Love & Support: Kelly Canyon Fundraiser will take place at the Belgrade Special Events Center from noon until 4 pm. Several different activities are planned including a silent auction, cornhole tournament, and many others. Admission is 10 dollars per person and those 12 and under are free.
