Well, before we reveal the name of the town, I think we should take a moment and name a few Montana small towns that could have easily made the list. Towns like Phillipsburg, Livingston, Hamilton, Red Lodge, West Yellowstone, and Whitefish are full of charm and are family-friendly.

However, the town that made the list of one of the 50 best in America is Ennis.

Located in Madison County, Ennis has a whole lot going for it.  From Ennis Lake, which is a man-made lake that is over 3 thousand acres and is perfect for fishing and outdoor recreation to the downtown area that is filled with all kinds of cool shops and places to eat and socialize.

Be sure to grab a burger at Sugar High, or visit Big Mama and have one of the best steaks in the state over at Long Branch Saloon. Plus, you check out the old-fashioned soda fountain at Yesterday's or have breakfast, lunch, or dinner at the Ennis Sunrise Cafe. 

Not to mention, that just down the road is both Virginia City and Nevada City which is one of the most interactive history lessons that you will find in the state and a ton of fun for the whole family.
