So which type of pizza do Montanans prefer? Well, according to new research published in PRNewswire, Montanans prefer a classic style that originated in the Midwest. Before we reveal which type of pizza reigns supreme in Montana, let's take a look at 5 Montana restaurants that Guy Fieri would love.

The research took a look at all 50 states to see what each state's preferences were according to not only style but favorite toppings, and when it comes to Montana, the data suggests that folks in The Treasure State prefer "Chicago" style over any other.

When you think of "Chicago" style pizza, most people think of deep dish, and while I do love deep dish pizza, I'm a little surprised to find out that this is Montana's favorite. While there are a few different pizza joints across the state that serve up "Chicago" style, it's not something I see offered at most pizza places.

As far as Montana's favorite topping, it's not a huge surprise to find out that we love pepperoni here in Big Sky Country. In my opinion, a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese is one of the greatest culinary creations known to man.
