Back To School: Is Montana Making The Grade In Education?
Soon summer will be over and it will be back to school for all the kiddos, parents, and teachers across Montana.
I remember how nervous I would get the night before school started. With my clothes laid out, and my backpack filled with supplies like all of my number 2 pencils, 4-colored pen, and the latest and greatest Trapper Keeper, I would toss and turn all night in anticipation of what the new school year would bring.
The first day of school was also about the only day that my Mom would make me a proper breakfast, after that, it was either a bowl of cereal or Pop-Tarts.
I bring this up because once again, the first day of school is going to be a big deal in my house. My wife and I don't have kids, but she is beginning her new career as a 4th-grade teacher at one of our local elementary schools.
So whenever I see anything about education in Montana, I tend to pay attention. Hence why I was interested in the new report from our friends over at WalletHub. WalletHub took a look at each state and then ranked them based on their education system.
