This certainly isn't breaking news, but Montana is growing.  People from all over are moving here and the landscape is undoubtedly changing.

We tend to blame the Californians, as many from the Golden State have decided to pack up and move here. Still, we've also seen a huge population increase from states like Washington, Oregon, Texas, and many others.

While businesses and tax bases have benefited from the increase in population, the change is too much for many.  Having said that, what I'm about to share with you will no doubt have mixed reviews.

Cities like Kalispell, Missoula, and Billings have seen large increases in their population, but Bozeman is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. This certainly won't come as a surprise to many, especially the folks living in Bozeman.

The last few years have produced some significant growth for Bozeman. However, between the high cost of living and the lack of housing, the city certainly has had its share of growing pains. A quick drive around town will show lots of construction as homes and apartment complexes continue to be built to try and keep up with the demand.

Throw in the fact that enrollment continues to increase at Montana State University, and to say that Bozeman is on the move would be an understatement. So what does the immediate and long-term future hold for the city?
