Montana Target Stores Making A Big Change In Payments
When it comes to shopping in Montana, Target is a popular choice among locals and tourists. With locations in Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Helena, Kalispell, and Missoula those looking for the famous red bullseye won't have to search too far.
Whether you're looking for back-to-school clothing, electronics, home decor, or groceries, you can find all that and more.
However, there are some changes on the horizon, and for all of you Montana Target fans, the popular retail giant wants to make sure you're aware of what's going on. Especially because it may affect the way that you pay for your items.
Target has announced that they will no longer accept personal checks as payment. The reason behind the decision? It simply comes down to the fact that a small number of customers use personal checks as payment.
I think this is fantastic news!
One of my biggest pet peeves is standing in line and behind someone writing a check. I understand that those of a certain generation might not be comfortable with "modern technology", however, nothing is worse than waiting for someone to fill out a check after they've already asked for the total 4 times.
When does Target's no-check policy take effect?
Target will implement the no-check policy starting on the 15th of July. The company released the following statement:
“We have taken several measures to notify guests in advance to aid an easy and efficient checkout experience.”
For those wondering, there are several different payment methods still available when shopping at Target including:
- Target Circle Friends
- Cash
- Digital Wallets
- SNAP/EBT
- Credit and Debit Cards
Once again, the no-check policy starts on July 15th at all Montana locations.
