Living this close to Yellowstone National Park, it feels natural to want to bring your furry best friend along for the adventure. Yellowstone, as it turns out, is not exactly a dog friendly destination, and honestly, it’s probably for the best.

Can you bring dogs into Yellowstone National Park?
Yes, but with strict limits. Dogs are allowed in developed areas and along park roads as long as they stay within 100 feet of roads, parking areas, and campgrounds. They are not allowed on hiking trails, boardwalks, backcountry routes, or anywhere near thermal landmarks.
