If you’ve spent much time driving in Bozeman lately, you may have noticed that there are bad drivers everywhere.

Bozeman is one of Montana's most popular cities and might be home to the state's worst drivers. It seems like the speed limit is just a suggestion in most cases.

It's become a daily occurrence. People are driving erratically, cutting others off, and creating dangerous situations that often result in accidents.

Bad drivers have become a major issue in Bozeman, and longtime locals are getting frustrated. There's even a Facebook page titled Bozeman Bad Drivers where people share pictures and stories of drivers doing things that make you wonder, "What the heck is going on?"

As someone who commutes to Bozeman each day from Manhattan, I've seen several terrible drivers along I-90. I've witnessed too many accidents to mention, and drivers who constantly exceed the posted speed limit. Driving that stretch every weekday has forced me to improve my defensive driving skills.

Most people move to places like Bozeman because it offers a slower pace of life. With so many people moving in from out-of-state, it's not surprising that many of them brought their bad driving habits with them. It's not just newcomers; I have a few friends who were born here who aren't the best drivers either.

If you're driving in Bozeman, do yourself and everyone else a favor and try not to be an inconsiderate jerk. Road conditions during the winter are already sketchy, and bad drivers just make matters worse.
