Free live music in downtown Bozeman is a much-loved tradition, known as Music on Main. The 2024 music lineup and schedule of events is better than ever, and continues the tradition of family fun on Main Street on Thursday nights.

Bozeman's Music on Main happens on Main Street on Thursday nights from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The two blocks of Main Street are closed to vehicular traffic no later than 6pm, and cars will have to detour around via the one-way streets.

If you can walk downtown to Music on Main, do it! Not having a car makes things even easier. Carpooling is another highly recommended option. There are many public parking lots in downtown, but Music on Main is very popular and there are only so many parking spots.

Live music (schedule below) begins at 7pm and runs until 8:30pm. Weather occasionally plays a hand in Music on Main, but usually not. Conditions have to become quite poor leading up to Music on Main for events to be cancelled :-)

Not all of the following organizations will be present every night, but they'll rotate throughout Music on Main Thursday nights. Kids' activities and other booths will be hosted by the following groups:

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Big Sky Country
