Montanans Planning On Traveling To Europe Better Be Prepared

Flying internationally is something everyone dreams of doing one day. It doesn't matter if you want to go to South America, Asia, or Europe because these places have cities and destinations that attract people of all ages and walks of life.

When traveling internationally, most folks think they only need a passport, and we know how that has been a hassle over the past few years. Folks might not know that there are a few countries where you will need additional paperwork or visas to visit.

The place that never required additional paperwork and only your passport was European countries.

That was until now.

The European Union announced starting in 2025, visitors from the United States will have to bring additional documents and get pre-approval before traveling. The one piece of paperwork you will need to acquire is a new visa from the European Travel Information and Authorization System for any of the 30 countries in the European Union.

Why? The European Union wants to background check the people traveling in and out of their countries and keep their citizens safe.

The upside is you don't have to worry about this paperwork until 2025, and the United Kingdom isn't involved if you travel there.
