Alaska Airlines Discontinuing Two Big Flights Out of Bozeman
Could these moves be setting up for something bigger? It's possible.
There's something new and exciting happening at the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.
The Bozeman Airport has been making massive moves with its flights and facilities.
What's New At the Bozeman Airport?
Some new flights are coming to the Bozeman Airport, including a new winter seasonal flight to Boise.
The airport is also planning for the future with an expansion. This plan includes new terminals, shops, and baggage claims.
Montana's busiest airport has a lot going for it, but not everything is rosy.
Flights Leaving Bozeman Airport
Last month, we learned Allegiant Airlines will discontinue its flight from Bozeman to Nashville.
It's one of Bozeman's most popular flights, and the only reason it's going away is because Allegiant is waiting on newer planes to continue this route. So that will return hopefully soon.
These two flights might have a different story.
Alaska Airlines Cutting Two Flights Out of Bozeman
The Points Guy reports that Alaska Airlines will discontinue their daily flight from Bozeman to Los Angeles and their seasonal flight from Bozeman to Orange County.
Why? It's pretty simple.
These flights haven't met the expectations they were hoping for, but they do have a chance to return in the future.
Alaska Airlines is a popular airline out of Bozeman Airport with direct flights all over the West Coast, including Portland and Seattle. There are three other airlines with direct flights to Los Angeles, so maybe the competition affected them.
Maybe Alaska Airlines is planning something new for the Bozeman Airport? They might try to find other routes that aren't available and add them to the roster in Bozeman.
Only time will tell.
