If you thought Kelly Clarkson wasn't a champion of women's equality, she is here to inform you that you thought wrong (feat. Tamyra Gray).

Yesterday (August 4), Zap2It writer Lindsay MacDonald posted a short analysis of five female celebrities who haven't ardently declared themselves to be feminists. Among them was Clarkson, whom MacDonald chastised for being wishy-washy about the term.

The Stronger singer told Time in 2013 that she didn't see herself a feminist, but later clarified in a Huffington Post interview that she was simply afraid of being stigmatized as a "man-hater."

"...we’re still calling shenanigans on it," MacDonald wrote. "You’re either a feminist or you’re not, social stigmas and colloquial definitions notwithstanding."

Welp, Kelly didn't take too kindly to the assessment, and moved to make her thoughts on on equality clear.

"I do support equality 4women. Even insulting women like u," Clarkson wrote, saying, in essence:

The story also included critiques of Shailene Woodley, Lady Gaga and Sarah Jessica Parker, who told Marie Claire as part of the magazine's September 2016 cover story that she still rejects the feminist title.

"I am not a feminist," Parker said. "I don't think I qualify. I believe in women and I believe in equality, but I think there is so much that needs to be done that I don't even want to separate it anymore. I'm so tired of separation."
