You'd think that a pickup truck would be the best type of vehicle in Montana, but you'd be wrong. Glass Doctor just released a new report about the safest and least safe vehicles in each state. The report may come as bad news for many Montanans that own and drive the brands of vehicles that were included on the "least safe" list.
In the data study, the most and least safe car brands in every U.S. state were determined based on over a decade’s worth of fatal crash data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Overall, Subaru was named the safest vehicle on the road in America. Subaru has the fewest number of fatal accidents in 17 states. Dodge was named the most dangerous vehicle brand nationwide with more fatal car accidents than any other brand.
What Are the Least Safe Car Brands in Montana?
For Montana, Dodge was named the least safe brand. GMC was 2nd, and Chevrolet was 3rd. The three brands listed above may be popular amongst Montanans, but they're also the most likely to break down and leave you stranded on the side of the road.
Surprisingly, the top 3 safest vehicle brands in Montana don't include pickup trucks. It's also interesting to note that none of them are Subaru, considering how many people drive them in Montana.
