Madonna Officially Announces ‘Madame X Tour’
Madonna (or, shall we say, Madame X...) is crossing her Ts and dotting her Is ahead of her next big-time tour.
The Material Girl, who last hit the road for a concert series between 2015 and 2016 for the Rebel Heart Tour, confirmed on Twitter Monday (May 6) that she's ready to get back at it again with a collection of short-term residencies that will begin this fall.
"Madame X is excited to announce she is going on tour!" Madonna wrote with the clip above, which finds her furiously clicking on a typewriter before inviting Diplo inside her spot for a few cocktails.
Then, as the duo go bottoms-up on some margaritas, Madonna says: "You're the first person I'm telling — I'm going on tour...I'm going on a special tour...a theater tour."
Diplo voices his skepticism before Madonna silences him, noting: "People didn't believe in Einstein, either — they thought he was a quack."
A press release notes that "‘The Madame X Tour’ will...visit Las Vegas, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Lisbon, London and Paris. Show information to follow.”
Still, only three cities' worth of shows have been detailed so far. And they are...
