Manhattan Plans Graduation Week Activities For Senior Class
Manhattan is rallying behind the Manhattan High School class of 2020. Many events have been planned to honor seniors at Manhattan High School.
Throughout town, residents have been putting up orange porch lights for seniors as a part of the 'Light The Town Orange' campaign.
On Saturday, May 23, a Tiger-Strong Senior Tribute event has been planned. Residents are encouraged paint the town orange by decorating storefronts, doorsteps, and front yards.
There will also be a car rally. Cars will assemble on the east side of Main Street across from the old Big Sky Carvers location at 2:30 p.m. Seniors from Manhattan High School, led by a special escort, will lead the rally as they cruise through town to kick off the unveiling of the Senior Banner Tribute.
Due to social distancing safety measures, rally participants are asked to come with their cars pre-decorated (safely, of course) to celebrate MHS graduates.
Non-participants are encouraged to find a spot along Broadway or Main Streets to cheer the seniors on and wish them well. Their graduation is a limited ceremony, so this is your chance to celebrate the class of 2020.
