If you’re interested in obtaining some Michael Jackson memorabilia then check this out. A black surgical mask that was allegedly worn by the late pop singer is up for auction, reports TMZ. So far, the bidding has exceeded $20,000 for this one-of-a-kind item.

Auction house Nate D. Sanders Auctions claims on their website that MJ wore the surgical mask 24 hours before his death on June 25, 2009. Apparently, the singer would cover his nose and mouth with the mask during rehearsals for his ‘This Is It’ tour at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The auction house describes the garment as a silky fabric that was personally designed for the King of Pop and it contains visible traces of his makeup. Ew! As a bonus, the surgical mask also comes with a strand of MJ’s black hair. Ewww!

There’s a letter of authenticity provided by Jackson’s personal bodyguard, Eric Muhammad, as well as proof of his employment with Jackson (a cashed check of $2,000). The auction ends on April 30 and Nate D. Sanders Auctions believes the mask will sell for somewhere in the range of $50,000 to $150,000 when it’s all said and done.

If you ask us, this all sounds a little creepy and far-fetched, but good luck to the bidder who owns this, uh, unique item from Michael Jackson’s wares.
