Big News, Montana! 2 Small Towns Named Best in America
Montana is a special place, and is full of unique small towns. Several towns in the state have received national recognition for different reasons. Now, two towns in Montana have been included on a list of the best small towns in America with less than 10,000 residents. In this article, we'll explore the two towns, and why they were selected as the best in the country.
Each year, millions of people travel to Montana to experience the last best place. With mountains, lakes, rivers, and large populations of wild animals, there aren't many places in the world quite like the Treasure State. On occasion, Montana makes national news, but for the most part, the state flies under the radar.
TWO MONTANA TOWNS NAMED BEST IN U.S. WITH LESS THAN 10K RESIDENTS
Far & Wide released an updated list of the best small towns in America with less than 10,000 residents. 100 different towns were ranked, and two towns in Montana were included on the list.
Whitefish, Montana landed on the list at #94. The reason Whitefish was included is due to its proximity to Glacier National Park. The town is also know for world-class skiing. The area is full of lakes, and a variety of other attractions.
The other Montana town included on the list is Big Sky, which ranked quite a bit higher on the list at #42. Big Sky is known as Montana's celebrity hotspot, and is home to several high profile residents. Big Sky Resort is one of America's most popular destinations for skiers and snowboarders.
