Since the pandemic started over a year ago, many people had to adapt to a new work environment. The lockdown and quarantine forced many employed people to quickly learn how to properly work from home. It wasn't easy, but fast forward a year later and most people almost prefer the idea of working from home. It has gotten to the point now, that some people would even move further away from their office, if they would be allowed to continue to work from home even after the pandemic is over.

With the influx of COVD 19 refugees flocking to Montana over the last year. It is safe to say that some of those folks are possibly still employed with their job in another state, and just working remotely. But, according to WalletHub, Montana is not a choice spot for folks who prefer working remotely. But why?

According to WalletHub

In order to identify the best states for working from home, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across two key dimensions, “Work Environment” and “Living Environment.”

They did so by using 12 key metrics. For example.

*Average electricity cost

*Access to low priced internet

*Internet cost

*Median square footage of houses compared to people in household

*Cybersecurity

*plus many more

When it comes to Montana, we actually rank in the bottom 10 states for remote work.

Our Work Environment was what really got us the most. Montana seems to be lacking in the internet and cyber security departments. Not to mention the average square footage of homes being particularly small compared to elsewhere.

In the end, Montana ranks #46 in the nation, with Alaska and Hawaii claiming the bottom 2 spots.
