Montana and rodeos go hand in hand. Summer in the state is also known as rodeo season, and while we're all impressed by the bucking broncs and bulls, and the cowboys that ride them, little attention is paid to what happens behind the scenes. A fascinating man in Montana is about to be inducted in the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, and if you don't know who he is, you need to.

On Saturday, October 5, the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall & Wall of Fame will hold its 19th Annual Scholarship Fundraising Banquet & Gathering. During the event, the newest members will be inducted. The event will take place at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center.

Iconic Montana Cowboy Gets Inducted Into Montana Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame

One of the people getting inducted in the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame on Oct. 5 is Warren Johnson. Johnson owns and operates Hell's A-Roarin' Outfitters near the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. He was inducted into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2023.

Warren Johnson was born near Yellowstone National Park on September 11, 1959, and he knows that area like the back of his callused hands. Each year, Johnson hosts the Hell's A-Roarin' Horse Drive in Gardiner, Montana. Proceeds for the event are used to purchase track chairs for veterans with disabilities that live in Montana. If you've never been to the horse drive, you need to add it to your bucket list. There's nothing quite like it in the world.

We want to congratulate Warren Johnson on his much-deserved induction in the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall & Wall of Fame.
