There are a lot of great bars in Montana, but there aren't too many honky-tonks with large dance floors for swing dancing. The state is full of cowboys and lovers of country music, and a good quality honky-tonk would be a welcomed addition in Big Sky Country. It's time to dust off those old boots because a new honky-tonk is opening soon in Montana. Here's what we know about it.

If you're looking for a real honky-tonk in Montana, we've got some good news. The folks that run the Old Saloon in Paradise Valley south of Livingston are opening a "real damn honkytonk" in Gallatin Gateway later this month. The Grand Opening is scheduled for January 25-27. 2024.

The Westerner is located at 304 Mill Street in Gallatin Gateway right next to Stacey's Bar. Three shows are scheduled for grand opening weekend, and if you're a fan of country music and dancing, you won't want to miss it. The Westerner is a true Texas-style honkytonk right here in Montana!
