If you're new to Montana, it doesn't take long to see that Montanans are all about giving back. Montana is full of folks and organizations that go above and beyond when it comes to helping others. In fact, Montana is known for the many non-profits throughout the state.

One of the most unique non-profits in our state is Warriors and Quiet Waters.

Warriors and Quiet Waters is an organization that helps post 9/11 combat vets through fly fishing.  WQW has been around since 2007 and is getting ready to celebrate its 15th Anniversary next month.

Since the founding of the organization, WQW has helped thousands of individuals and their families with a one-of-a-kind experience that has been proven to help with the healing process. Of course, those experiences will continue, however, Warriors and Quiet Waters is excited to announce the addition of a new program.

WQW has announced that they are introducing "Hunt For Purpose".

"Hunt for Purpose is designed to guide post-9/11 combat veterans to a greater sense of clarity around their identity, values, potential, and purpose through archery elk hunting." according to the Warriors and Quiet Waters website. The program has been in development for a year and the first group is getting ready to participate.

So what will it look like?

According to the WQW, "Hunt for Purpose is a rigorous program that will engage a cohort of participants in three, week-long experiences here in Montana between March and September.  In addition to teaching and coaching participants on archery elk hunting skills, the first two in-person touchpoints will focus on education, preparation, and guided discovery of the pillars of a thriving life which include safety, connection, values, identity, potential, and purpose."
