We're not even two months into 2023, and there have been several massive closures in the Bozeman area.

Bozeman is a place where there is constant business news. We recently talked about four massive changes to downtown Bozeman. This included several restaurants and bars closing, such as El Camino, Kitty Warren, Happy Box, and Smoke, Fire, & Coal.

These restaurants and bars were less than a few years old and were popular with the younger crowd. We have found more news about another business that closed its doors.

The Candy Jar, located near 19th Avenue and Oak Street, has closed down in Bozeman. The Candy Jar was a cute little candy store with everything from candy to unique gifts and over-the-top milkshakes.

The Candy Jar was in-between two popular restaurants, Thai Basil and Wasabi, and in an area with constant traffic. That's why we are surprised to see the store quietly closed its doors.

I had been to The Candy Jar a handful of times, and their milkshakes were outrageous and a perfect dessert after a hearty meal. It was a unique candy store that many locals enjoyed.

We don't know why The Candy Jar closed its doors. We tried reaching out on Facebook, but they haven't posted anything since the Summer of 2021.

It's wild that so many Bozeman businesses have closed since the start of January, and that makes us wonder what spot could be next to shut down. We wait with bated breath.

On the bright side, The Chocolate Moose in Downtown Bozeman is a fantastic candy store and a Bozeman staple. If you need to take care of your sweet tooth, The Chocolate Moose is here for locals.
