A 27 year old woman was startled by a fox, causing her to stumble and dislocate her hip on a trail south of Big Sky on Friday. Thankfully this scary scenario had a few strokes of good luck.
Early season snow is inviting to skiers but spotty coverage, no avalanche control and no on-duty ski patrol can make for dangerous conditions. Gallatin County Search and Rescue dealt with a rescue situation at Bridger Bowl on Friday.
