Thursday afternoon, authorities found and took into custody . . .

Upon arrival officers located a 9 year old boy who had been shot once with a semi-automatic handgun.

Four people, including the gunman, were killed and 16 others injured in a shooting at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas Wednesday evening.  Fort Hood officials said the gunman was a soldier who had been receiving mental health treatment and that he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities in western Montana say a Lolo man shot a visitor in the head Sunday morning when the visitor refused to leave and then walked toward the homeowner.

3PM UPDATE - Authorities in Billings have found the murder suspect, after a tip sent them to a trailer home near I-90. Peter Horvath was taken into custody at around 1pm MT.  Authorities went to the trailer and Peter was not found, but he was arrested a short time later nearby in a field after a short foot pursuit. State Police have shot and killed Kurt Myers, the suspect in shootings that killed four people and injured two others in Herkimer and Mohawk, New York. Shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday, State Police, FBI and a K-9 unit entered the former Glory Days bar in Herkimer where Myers had been in hiding for nearly 16 hours and had at times exchanged fire with police.

A female Missoula Police Officer has been injured by the vehicle of a fleeing suspect. The suspect was shot and wounded, but fled the scene and found a few hours later in a southside residence in Missoula.
