There's a word that most Montanans don't like to say out loud. If you've lived in the state during the winter, you've most likely experienced it. Most people in Montana don't hold back when expressing how much they hate it. I'm talking about the "W." ...

The I-90 corridor east of Bozeman, including the Bozeman Pass, Livingston, Big Timber, and the Beartooth Foothills will see wind gusts up to 60 MPH through at least Friday morning.

Another round of very cold temps, snow and gusty wind is invading Montana through Wednesday morning. The valleys are only supposed to get a few inches of snow out of the deal, but travel may still become sketchy during this advisory.

Several counties in Montana are under a High Wind Warning with gusts of 80 mph expected until Tuesday afternoon. This will create dangerous travel conditions.

Due to the recent cold snap bringing the Gallatin Valley below zero temperatures, the HRDC's Warming Center has opened early.

The advisory is in effect for Gallatin, Beaverhead and Madison counties until tomorrow, Thursday, February 14th.

Travel over southern mountain passes could be IMPOSSIBLE through Thursday morning with very heavy snow and gusty winds expected.

Higher elevations SOUTH of Bozeman are in for another weekend of snow and very gusty winds.

The Bozeman may see some snow but the concern will be travel conditions for the canyon south towards Big Sky and West Yellowstone along with higher elevations.

Traveling the I-90 corridor east of Livingston will be dangerous at times through Wednesday with extreme crosswinds at times. Caution should be used.
