New Ranking Names This Montana Town One of the Ugliest in America
For the most part, Montana is a beautiful state, but that isn't the case in some places. Small towns across the state are barely recognizable compared to their glory days. As the population of Montana continues to growth, some cities and towns are being forgotten and left in the past. Some places in Montana are downright ugly, and one city was just named one of the ugliest cities in America.
Being named one of America's ugliest cities certainly isn't something to be happy about, especially for the people that live there. If you've ever paid the city a visit, you'll most likely agree that it's nothing to write home about.
If you're wondering what city we're referring to, it's Butte, Montana. The city is full of interesting history, and at one point, was considered one of the richest cities in America. However, much has changed since the mining boom in Butte, but you can still see evidence of it today.
Travel A Lot recently released a list of the ugliest cities in every state, and it's no surprise that Butte landed on the list. Look, we've got nothing against Butte, but it definitely isn't very visually appealing.
Butte is home to the Berkeley Pit, which is probably one of the reasons it was included on the list of the ugliest cities in the country. The pit is a EPA Superfund Site due to its highly contaminated water. Butte may not be the prettiest to look at, but it's worth visiting if you want to learn about Montana's rich mining history.
