Popular Store Will Close Several Locations, Is Montana Involved?
If one of these stores closed down in Montana, it would affect many people who love this store.
Montana has seen some nationwide franchises close down locations throughout this past year. Stores like Bed, Bath, and Beyond closed all of their stores, and restaurant franchises like Famous Dave's and Burger King have closed locations in Montana.
Most of these places closed due to staffing issues or filing for bankruptcy. That makes sense. It's just surprising that this store is closing stores nationwide.
Business Insider announced that the popular store Walmart will close down over twenty locations by the end of 2023. The reason behind the closures is due to poor financial performance.
Walmart is a store that many Montanans shop at for groceries, clothes, and affordable household items. Many Montanans on welfare or don't make a ton of money need places like Walmart to feed their family. If one Montana location closed, it could hurt the pockets of many locals.
Plus, Walmart makes life extremely easy shopping for everything in one place, and their curbside pickup is convenient for folks on the go.
Well, I have some fantastic news, Montana. According to the report from Business Insider, none of the Walmart locations in Montana will be closing. Most of the stores closing are in the South and the Midwest, but a few spots in the Pacific Northwest will be closing.
Does that mean Montana's Walmarts will stay open? Possibly.
Since 2019, Walmart has closed around 50 stores nationwide because they were underperforming. As long as Montana's Walmarts stay financially sustainable, they are here to stay.
