Woman Smashes Truck Into Building – With A Dog In The Back

Ok, here goes.  Usually I do not talk on air about Politics, People, Controversial Topics - basically anything that could "rile the feathers" of MY 103.5 listeners.  But today - I have to.

If you know me, you know that I am a dog person.  I have 3 of my own that are all rescues, and I am the first person my friends call to doggie sit because I simply can not get enough of my four legged friends.  Last night I turned on the 5:30 news to see that some woman had driven her truck into a building.  The police had arrested her for a DUI, her blood alcohol limit was twice the legal amount.  What NO ONE mentioned was the dog in the back of the truck.  You could see the confusion in it's eyes as the lights were flashing, it's owner was gone and the camera was pointed towards the truck. 

Now, I am not sure what happened to the dog - but this boils my blood as much as when people drive drunk with kids in the car.  Congratulations woman - not only could you have killed yourself and innocent people - you could have killed what HOPEFULLY is your best friend.  You hit the building hard enough to cause damage, imagine what your beloved K9 must have felt.
