As 2016 comes to an end, many of you may already be looking to 2017 to plan your vacations and road trips. Did you know that there are 413 National Parks in the United States?

The U.S. National Park Service will be waiving entrance fees on certain days in 2017. If you are planning a trip through Yellowstone or up to Glacier next year, you may want to mark these dates on your calendar:

  • January 16th: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • February 20th: Presidents’ Day
  • April 15th-16th and April 22nd-23rd: National Park Week Weekends
  • August 25th: National Park Service Birthday
  • September 30th: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11th-12th: Veterans’ Day Weekend

One thing to keep in mind: With entrance fees being waived on the above listed days, places like Yellowstone and Glacier will be crowded with people.
