March 29, 2012 Because of generous donations, The Ellen Theatre in downtown Bozeman has been getting a new life. Most recently, they acquired a state of the art projection screen that will allow the historic Ellen to show movies once again. To celebrate, Saturday night they are going to start with the many people's favorite film of all time (mine included, well maybe it's number 2 behind Goonies), GREASE! And, Putzie (Kelly Ward) himself will be there to introduce it!
The Ellen Theater again has a movie projector and will begin showing box office movies. The projector was donated by the Ruth and Vernon Taylor Foundation. I'm really excited for this because when I first came to Bozeman, me and my friends would frequent the theater during movie showings. Still, when those same friends come to town they talk about how cool it was to watch a movie in such a historic theater.

For the second year in a row, he has planned the perfect Christmas time date night. We get all dressed up and head downtown. We have an amazing dinner at Teds Montana Grill and then head to the Ellen Theater. This year it was for their performance of "White Christmas". Put together my absolute love of Christmastime, the Ellen Theater, yummy food and great company - and you have one perfect date night.

This may embarrass him a little, but last Sunday night my boyfriend Ross took me on the most perfect Christmas Time Date Night. We started off by heading to The Christmas Carol which is being performed at the Ellen Theater until Christmas. I have seen this play before, but it absolutely never gets old.
In the Charles Dickens classic tale, A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge exclaims, "It's Christmas Day! I haven't missed it." The Ellen Theater doesn't want you to miss seeing their production of A Christmas Carol either!
