Check Your Mail, Gallatin County. Early Voting Starts Now
If you want to vote before voting day, you are in luck.
It's the middle of October, and local and state-wide political races are in full swing. Unfortunately, some people can't get to the polling stations in Gallatin County on voting day. So what can they do?
Gallatin County announced on Friday, October 14th that voters registered to receive absentee voting forms will be receiving absentee ballots in the mail in the coming week. You can fill it out and then turn it into the Gallatin County courthouse in downtown Bozeman from now until Tuesday, November 2nd. Or, to make things even easier, seal it in an envelope and mail it back. That's all you have to do. Just make sure it gets to its destination before voting day.

Absentee voting has been popular over the past several years both because of COVID and because many folks aren't able to take off work to wait in line on Voting Day. Plus, many folks in Gallatin County and throughout Montana live in rural areas where they might not have nearby access to a polling station.
So check your mail over the next few days, you might have received your absentee ballot already.
