A moose wandered into Belgrade on Sunday, finding a comfortable spot in some shade next to the playground at Lewis & Clark Park. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks was called in after the moose was discovered and safely tranquilized the wild animal before moving it to a safe location.

Reporting the incident on their Facebook page, the Belgrade Police Dept posted a reminder to citizens that "wildlife occasionally wanders into town, and when such incidents occur, please remember to give them plenty of space. These wild animals can not only be dangerous when approached but can become stressed to unhealthy levels."
