The Montana State Bobcats will take on the Drake University on Saturday, September 11 at Bobcat Stadium. Saturday's game will be the first time the Montana State Bobcat Football team has played at home since facing Austin Peay in the quarterfinals of the NCAA FCS Playoffs in 2019.

Montana State opened 2021 with a narrow 19-16 loss at Wyoming last Saturday. Drake, on the other hand, opened with a 45-3 win over West Virginia Wesleyan. The Bulldogs piled up 529 yards, 304 on the ground, and led 21-0 before the end of the first quarter.

Since Saturday marks the first home game of the season for the Bobcats, it will be the annual Gold Rush game. If you were hoping to be in the stands cheering on the Bobcats on Saturday, you most likely won't be able to find a ticket. Tickets for the game are officially sold out.

The game marks the first opportunity to play in a home game for 64 current Bobcats (including those on the roster in 2019 who didn't see game action), as well as head coach Brent Vigen and five assistant coaches.

Saturday's game against the Bulldogs also marks the 20 year anniversary of 9/11. A tribute is planned prior to the game on Saturday that will include an American Flag presentation.
