Some people may wonder why people would ever want to live in Butte, MT. Or they call it "Butt" because they think they're funny (or they're just clueless).

However, Butte is beautiful, and home to many famous things and people, including Tim Montana.

Born in Kalispell and raised in Butte, Tim Montana is a voice that all of Montana should celebrate. When it comes to local talent, we are constantly doing our best to put them in the spotlight. Why? Because Montanans LOVE Montana.

An aerial video of Butte, MT was recently released, and it's pretty stunning. In my opinion, this video not only showcases how cool Butte is, but along with lyrics from Tim Montana, it makes you feel like you are literally IN Butte as you watch it.

This video, by the talented Matt Frey, is so perfectly illustrated that I had to watch it a few times over.

Frey's Youtube page represents what the "old Montana" was like, what people think they are getting when they move here, and how beautiful the mountains are.

I have friends that have a cabin at Georgetown Lake and are constantly asking me to come to visit when I have weekends off in the summer. I guess I didn't know what I was missing out on until Frey highlighted the beauty in this quick video.

The unique beauty of Montana never ceases to amaze me, and I hope people stop to admire it often enough. We live in a pretty cool place.

Vintage Photos Of Montana

It's hard to imagine what Yellowstone National Park would look like in black and white. We are so used to seeing the colors that make it one of America's favorite travel destinations. Jezel Doughert's grandmother passed away and like many of us do, she spent hours going through years and years of history, from old yearbooks to news clippings, to pictures. Jezel sent me a piece of history that, if not for her, I wouldn't be able to share with you.

This Family Friendly "Montana Town" Is Frozen In Time

One of the coolest places to check out in Montana is the "Old Montana" town of Nevada City. Located just on the other side of Virginia City, Nevada City is the perfect example of what life was like back during the gold rush in the 1800s.

With several different buildings to tour and friendly folks to guide you through your visit, as well as tell you the stories of the times, Nevada City is not only educational but fun for the whole family.
