If you're an active, registered voter in Gallatin County you will probably get your ballot in the mail sometime the week of October 12th. (They are to be mailed out to voters on the 9th.)

In-person voting has now begun. People can vote at the Gallatin County Courthouse at 311 West Main Street in downtown Bozeman in Room 210. The courthouse election office is open Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 6pm. In-person voting will of course continue now through Tuesday, November 3rd, which is Election Day.

ON ELECTION DAY (Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020) - In-person voting will be available at the Gallatin County Courthouse AND the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. Both of those location will be open for same day registration and in-person voting from 7am to 8pm.

Vote sooner than later! Obviously, people are encouraged to register to vote and/or vote in person as soon as they are able and perhaps at off-peak hours so that social distancing is easier. Waiting until Election Day is unnecessary and lines may be much longer on Election Day.

If you prefer to use the mail-in ballot, be aware that it MUST arrive at the Election Office by Tuesday, November 3rd. You can obviously mail the ballot back or you can physically drop off your ballot until 8pm on Election Day.

You can drop off your ballot to any of the following locations now through Election Day. Please note that each location might have different operating hours!

You'll find that there will be additional locations to drop off your ballot on Election Day specifically.

Other than the Election Department, the ballot drop-off locations are NOT 'register to vote' locations. They are strictly places to drop-off your voted ballot.
