Not many people know that this is in Montana.

A little over 200 miles northeast of Bozeman, you'll find the small town of Winifred, Montana. It's a 3.5 hour drive, and has a population of about 200 people. It has been on my list of places to visit in Montana since I moved here.

Something you probably didn't know about me is that I am a huge collector of old Tonka trucks. I currently have around 50 in my collection. I just think they're really cool and a great example of classic Americana.

Okay, so back to Winifred. If you ever visit, you'll find the Winifred Museum. It's one of the only things in town other than the people that live there. Within the museum, you find historical artifacts, and other items pertaining to the history of the area. Here's the really cool part: the Winifred Museum also holds one of the largest known collection of Tonka Trucks in one place, and it's right here in Montana! There's over 3,000 in the collection!

I addition to the thousands of Tonka Trucks in the collection, they have many that kids are able to play with. If you're looking for a family road trip destination in Montana, definitely put the Winifred Museum on your list!
