Join Jesse James this Friday, November 12 at Town & Country Foods in Belgrade from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. MY 103.5 has teamed up with Montana State University and the Gallatin Valley Foodbank to help 'Can the Griz.'

The food drive is a friendly, off-field competition between Montana State University and the University of Montana to see which school can collect the most donations for their local food bank. If you're in Bobcat country, it's called 'Can the Griz.' If you're in Griz territory, the annual competition is known as 'Can the Cats.'

2021 marks the 22nd year of the Can the Griz Food Drive, and the Bobcats have canned the Griz 17 out of 21 years. In 2020, MSU and the Bozeman community donated 150,290 pounds of food plus a record $252,893.24 to the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. The University of Montana and the Missoula community also raised a record amount for the Missoula community's local food bank. Donations from UM and the Missoula community had a grand total of 671,707.90 (pounds and money). We need the Bozeman community to step up in a big way if we plan on beating the Griz this year.

The winner of the competition will be announced during the 'Brawl of the Wild' football game on Saturday, November 20.

If you can't make it to Town & Country Foods in Belgrade this Friday, you can find a full list of 'Can the Griz' dropoff locations throughout Gallatin County at canthegriz.com. You can also find a list of this years 'most needed' items.

This year, there is a new way to donate. Can the Griz has teamed up with Venmo! Click here to learn more.

We hope to see you at Town & Country Foods in Belgrade this Friday from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Details about 'Can the Griz' can be found here.
