Bozeman's annual Thanksgiving Day event, Huffing for Stuffing, turns 10 this year.

Over the past nine years, the race has raised nearly $291,000 for the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. Last year alone, the race raised over $51,000 for the food bank, according to the Huffing for Stuffing website.

The race happens Thanksgiving morning and starts at the Museum of the Rockies. You can register online for either the timed 5K, untimed 5K or 10K. There is also a kids' fun run, which is free to participate in with the donation of non-perishable food items.

This year, organizers have a goal of 5,000 participants.

If you don't want to run (or walk), you could get involved by volunteering. It takes more than 200 volunteers to put on the event. Volunteers are needed during the event and before and after Thanksgiving.

New this year is packet pickup at Outlaw Brewing at 2876 N. 27th Ave., Bozeman. Packets can be picked up there from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 and Wednesday, Nov. 23. In-person registrations will also be accepted at this time.

If you can't make it to Outlaw Brewing, registration and packet pickup is also available Thanksgiving morning at the Museum of the Rockies from 7 to 9 a.m.
