Jennifer Lawrence Is Not Thrilled In First ‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2′ Clip
The first clip from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 has arrived, along with Katniss’ first set of orders. In the new clip, which was released to celebrate the first advanced ticket sales for the film, Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss is grouped into her new squad. Meet the Star Squad, comprised of Katniss, Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). The group is rounded up by Boggs (Mahershala Ali) and Cressida (Natalie Dormer) to learn that they will be the faces of the revolution (great!), but they won’t be doing any fighting (uh, what?). Katniss is not pleased, to say the least.
In the final Hunger Games film, Panem is in full-blown war as Katniss and her District 13 unit plan an assassination attempt on President Snow (Donald Sutherland). In a recent interview for Entertainment Weekly‘s cover story, Lawrence talked about filming the showdown sequence for the movie. The actress said she’s been dreaming about her big archery moment for years:
I was excited about the scene at the end of the movie when I shoot my arrow—I won’t give it away— because when I was doing my archery training at age 20, that was always the scene I pictured. Five years ago I used to look at a stack of hay and pretend that it was this moment, and now it is here.
