The Bozeman Icedogs are red hot and undefeated to begin the season, winning 9 straight games and rocketing to first place in the North American 3 Hockey League’s  (NA3HL) Frontier division. The Icedogs are the only unbeaten team left in the NA3HL, an impressive feat given that the league has 34 teams from Bozeman, Montana all the way to New York.

The Icedogs made another strong case for their league-best record this weekend after sweeping the Yellowstone Quake in a two-game weekend series. Friday at home, the Icedogs won 4-1 while Saturday's road game saw a close 4-3 contest.

Hazen McKay led the scoring Friday with a hat trick (three-goal) performance, and Domagoj Troha made 34 saves in another solid start in goal.

On Saturday, four different Icedogs chipped in goals, as Duncan McGarrah, Will Kutch, Christan Veneruzzo and Isaac Smoldon all found the scoresheet.

The Icedogs will next take on the Helena Bighorns next weekend, with Friday’s game at the Hayes Pavilion located at the fairgrounds in Bozeman. Faceoff for their home contest will be at 7:30 PM.
