It’s Official, Bozeman Factory Builds Guitar Fit For A King

When you think of Rock-N-Roll, you think of a couple of things. Elvis Presley and Gibson Guitars. Elvis, of course, would forever change the sound of music when he busted on the scene back in the 1950s and introduced the world to a totally new sound that for many, they'd never heard before.

Gibson, who had already been around well over half a century at that point, was just getting into the electric guitar and had already introduced the Gibson Les Paul, which would go on to become one of the most iconic guitars of all time.

So, what if you were to combine the two? What if you were to take Elvis and a Gibson guitar and put them together?

Well, leave it to the creative minds over at Gibson here in Bozeman to come up with a couple of incredible instruments that celebrate the King of Rock-N-Roll. The Gibson Elvis Dove and the Gibson Elvis SJ-200. Both guitar models are made at the Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop here in town and are available for purchase at Gibson.com.

The Gibson Elvis Dove and the Gibson Elvis SJ-200 both come in a beautiful black finish which is a tribute to the 1969 Gibson Custom Dove that Elvis used from 1971 to 1975, which was a gift from his father.

Presley was also known to play many Gibson SJ-200s throughout his career. The SJ-200 is often referred to as the "King of the Flattops" for its jumbo size, and its rich, booming sound.

Even though the "King" is no longer with us, his legacy lives on as does his music and style. The instruments are sure to become collector's items and all we can say to Gibson for creating this beautiful one of kind guitars is, Thank you. Thank you very much.
